West Virginia .... very hot, very humid, very wet! A beautiful vacation spot as we camped (in cabins, thank God!) in one of the beautiful State Parks - Babcock. After a full day and night of rain, we woke up to a garden of mushrooms of just about every variety imaginable - very pretty but a little surreal. A little "Rip van Winkle-ish" and I was half expecting some leprechans to appear! Quite fun to take the inquisitive minds of grandchildren on a journey of exploration as we could quite literally watch these fungii grow before our eyes.
